The aim of this study is to demonstrate the importance of holistic approach to hemodialysis patients' health care, since such an approach is an essential factor in establishing a positive therapeutic process in the work of nurses and patients. The role of the nurse in the holistic approach is irreplaceable, since the patient as a equal member of the therapeutic team receives clear instructions, expert help on the new state of affairs and in this way faces less of their own illness by investing their own efforts in the process of treatment. Holistic approach and holistic care of patients on hemodialysis within the framework of the work of a nurse is based on respect for emotions, cognitive abilities, culture, patient beliefs, socioeconomic status, open communication, equality and mutuality. In a therapeutic approach through a holistic approach to a patient who cures hemodialysis inadequate renal function, a nurse will develop a professional attitude, observe the patients systematically and empathically, discover it with possible complications of treatment. In the holistic approach and in the holistic care process for a patient on hemodialysis, it is the task of the nurse to underline the importance of adhering to dietary measures necessary for the best treatment of hemodialysis through the education of the patient and his immediate family.
