Abstract
Cilj: Rada je istražiti metode dijagnosticiranja i liječenja pneumotoraksa te učestalost recidiva s obzirom na dob, spol i prisutnost pušenja na nastanak pneumotoraksa kod pacijenata koji su zaprimljeni u Objedinjeni hitni bolnički prijem Opće bolnice Pula. Ispitanici i metode: Ispitanici su bili svi pacijenti koji su zaprimljeni u Objedinjeni hitni bolnički prijem Opće bolnice Pula s dijagnozom pneumotoraksa. Kao instrument istraživanja prikupljeni su podatci putem bolničkog informacijskog sustava Objedinjenog hitnog bolničkog prijema Opće bolnice Pula u razdoblju od 01.01.2014. do 01.12.2019 koji su statistički obrađeni. Rezultati: U ispitivanje su bila uključena 74 pacijenta, od toga je 82,4% muškaraca. U 40,5% slučajeva radilo se o sekundarnom spontanom pneumotoraksu i bilo je 73% nepušača s dijagnozom pneumotoraksa. Dijagnoza pneumotoraksa postavljena je kod 41,9% osoba mlađih od 30 godina. Zaključak: Najveći broj pacijenata su muškarci nepušači mlađi od 30 godina koji su oboljeli od sekundarno spontanog pneumotoraksa.
Abstract (english)
Objective: Of the paper is to investigate the methods of diagnosis and treatment of pneumothorax and the frequency of recurrence with regard to age, sex and the presence of smoking habit on the development of pneumothorax in patients admitted to the Emergency Departament of the General Hospital Pula. Subjects and methods: Subjects were all patients admitted to the Emergency Departament of the General Hospital Pula with a diagnosis of pneumothorax. As a research instrument, data was collected through the hospital information system of the Emergency Departament of the General Hospital Pula in the period from 01.01.2014. to 01.12.2019 which are statistically processed. Results: 74 patients were included in the study, of which 82.4% were men. In 40.5% of cases, it was secondary spontaneous pneumothorax and 73% of non-smokers were diagnosed with pneumothorax. The diagnosis of pneumothorax was made in 41.9% of persons under 30 years of age. Conclusion: The largest number of patients are male non-smokers under the age of 30 who have suffered from secondary spontaneous pneumothorax.
