Abstract
U današnjem načinu života stres je neizbježan. „Suvremeno doba“ stvorio je čovjek, napretkom u tehnici, znanosti i materijalnim uvjetima za koje misli da mu omogućuju „lakši“ život i pružaju zadovoljstvo. Ali, stvorio je i stres namećući sebi više nego što može u datom trenutku podnijeti, jer stres nije „mačji kašalj“ i ne odlazi mašući čarobnim štapićem već čovjek mora osnažiti sam sebe kako bi ga prevladao. Danas su poznate mnoge teorije o stresu koje su opisane i u ovom radu, jer je važno razumjeti zašto i kako nastaje stres, koje su vrste stresa kao i posljedice da bi se u prikazalo postoji li stres među nastavnicima Medicinske škole u Rijeci. Rezultati ovog istraživanja su pokazali da stres postoji među navedenim nastavnicima, ali na umjerenoj razini. Drugim riječima, nastavnici kontroliraju svoj stres bilo privatno ili profesionalno, ne ugrožavaju izvođenje nastave i posjeduju motivaciju za rad.
Abstract (english)
In today’s lifestyle, stress is inevitable. The "modern age" was created by man, with advances in technology, science and material conditions that he thinks allow him to "live" life easier and provide satisfaction. But, he also created stress by imposing more on himself than he can handle at a given moment because stress is not „April fool's prank“ and it does not leave by waving a magic wand, but a man must strengthen himself in order to overcome it. Today, many theories about stress are known which are described in this paper because it is important to understand why and how stress occurs, what are the types of stress and consequences to show whether there is stress among teachers of the Medical School in Rijeka. The results of this research showed that stress exists among these teachers, but at a moderate level. In other words, teachers control their stress either privately or professionally, they do not jeopardize the conduct of teaching and have the motivation to work.
