Nije potvrđena statistički značajna razlika o stavovima trudnica ovisno o životnoj dobi (p>0,05), o mjestu stanovanja (p>0,05), kao ni o načinu začeća (p>0,05), broju ostvarenih trudnoća (p>0,05) i broju dosadašnjih poroda (p>0,05). |
Abstract (english) | Introduction: Pregnancy can be described as one of the most beautiful periods in the life of every woman, but also of every man, which is why it is necessary to enjoy these precious moments. Parents gather information during pregnancy in various ways, one of the ways is searching on the Internet. Therefore, nowadays the Internet is a frequent medium through which they collect information. Using the Internet gives a kind of false security because pregnant women are exposed to a large amount of information in the virtual world and may have the impression that it is easy to find out everything about pregnancy and childbirth.
Aim of the research: Design and validate a questionnaire that examines the pregnant women`s attitudes toward the quality of information available on the Internet, and examine attitudes depending on age, level of education, place of residence, method of conception, number of pregnancies achieved and number of births so far.
Respondents and methods: 307 respondents who have so far achieved pregnancy and childbirth began to fill in the survey questionnaire on the pregnant women`s attitudes toward the quality of information available on the Internet. The survey questionnaire was distributed via e-mail and posted on pages and groups of social networks with the topic of conception and pregnancy.
Results: 307 respondents aged 21 to 48 answered the questionnaire. A questionnaire with 4 reliable factors of 19 particles was designed and validated (α=0,87). Most of the respondents expressed a positive attitude towards the information available on the Internet when it comes to the availability and quality of information. The highest percentage of respondents agree with the statement: „I think that the informations on the Internet are of very high quality.“ (p=0,166), and: „The opinions of well-known gynecologists on the Internet have the same value for me as the opinion of my chosen gynecologist.“ (p=0,023). A large percentage of respondents rely on information available on the Internet, except when it comes to information related to sexual relations during pregnancy (p=0,33) and taking supplements (p=0,453), when they prefer gynecologists.
Conclusion: During the analysis of the results, a positive attitude of pregnant women toward the quality of information available on the Internet was found in most questions. No statistically significant difference was confirmed regarding the attitudes of pregnant women depending on age (p>0,05), place of residence (p>0,05), as well as method of conception (p>0,05), number of pregnancies achieved (p>0,05) and the number of previous births (p>0,05). A statistically significant difference was confirmed in the attitudes of pregnant women regarding the quality of information available on the Internet depending on the level of education, pregnant women with higher education had more positive attitudes (p<0,05). |
