For several years now, Croatian maternity wards have undergone significant changes in way of work, maternity and birth as a physiological act. Individualization of care implies a unique, carefully conceived approach based on the wishes and plan by which the woman imagined giving birth, a positive experience, respecting the rights of women and children, but with a quality assessment of midwifes and doctors of risk for the mother and the fetus. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of individualized childcare delivery in the face of performing routine procedures and which methods are most frequently used. The study was conducted at the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at KBC Rijeka, on 30 maternals who entered the examined group by random selection. The survey consisted of 11 questions with multiple responses. The results are statistically processed in Microsoft Excel tables according to the pre-prepared code plan. Survey has shown that womans is familiar with natural birth methods and is the most common source for that is the Internet. Routine running of the skates and shaving is at a lower percentage rate, while the DRIP, the procetion of watercourses and the epiziotomy are still in a larger number. The womens mostly moved during the labours and changed position, but used a lower percentage of the ball and strut. Almost all womens consumed fluid during childbirth while only one respondent consumed food. Natural pain relief methods are still not "live" as well as other placement positions other than lying. Skin to skin contact is practiced at almost all woman in labour. The survey results indicate that it is possible to change habits and procedures. It takes only time, motivation, education and a sufficient number of staff.
