Low back pain is one of the leading health, social and economic challenges facing the whole world. In addition to economic, there are health, social and psychological burdens. Kinesiphobia was defined by Kori et al as an unreasonablekand immense fear of movement and activity coming from the belief of fragility and vulnerability to injury. It has been established that kinesiphobia is a midway factor in the mechanism of progression of pain from acute to the chronic stage. This can lead to avoidance of movement which in the long term causes disability, reduced movement and depression, but also the patient captured in a cycle of increased fear of pain, causing more pain and disability. The mainkgoal of this paper is to examine the existence of kinesiphobia in a person with chronic low back pain. The specific objectives are to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference in the presence of kinesiphobia in men and women, the influence of the presence of kinesiphobia on the pain level of people with chronic low back pain, and to determine whether people with kinesiphobia are more disabled in activities of daily life than those who do not have kinesiphobia. The subjects of this research are 88 people with chronic low back pain, male and female. The research was carried out in the form of an online anonymous questionnaire. The results showed that kinesiphobia is present in 82.5% of respondents. Kinesiphobia is more common in men than in women. Despite the higher level of pain in people with kinesiphobia, it was not statistically significant. The level of disability in activities of daily life is statistically significantly higher in the group with kinesiphobia.
