Introduction: eating disorders are classified ad mental illnesses. They are characterized by excessive cncer and orientation towards body shape and weight, as well as low self-esteem and poor emotional control. According to the National Eating Disorders Association – NEDA, more than 70 million people across the world suffer from eating disorders. The etiology of eating disordes is multifactorial. It is a serious health problem that negatively affects physical, social and mental health. Treatmant is a long-term procces tha requires a multidimensional approach and includes both the application of osychotherapeutic techniqus and pharmacotheraphy Objective: To exemine the knowledge of full-time and part-time nursing students of the University of Health Studies about bulimia nervosa. Materials and methods: Knowledge testing was conducted among nursing students at the University of Health Studies in Rijela with the help of an electronic questionnaire. To display the date there were used tables and graphs in the research, which were presenteed using decriptive statistics and non-parametric statistical methods. Results: The questionnaire was filled out by 100 nursing students of the University of Health Studies in Rijeka. Depending on the student status, 54% of questioned students indicated that they were full-time nursing students while 46% indicated that they were part-time nursing students. The minimm of correct answers is 9, while the maximum number is 21. Conclusion: The analysis of the collected data indicated that there is no statistically significant difference in knowledge between full-time an part-time students.
