INTRODUCTION: Boxing as a sport is complex, highly dynamic and energetic. Boxers move quickly and energetically in the ring and must be able to attack and defend at the same time, and at the same time withstand the heaviest blows. Fast movements and constant changes of direction prevail. The rate of injuries in amateur boxing is 233.33 per 1000 competitions, that is, an injury is expected for every 4.3 competitions. Amateur boxers suffer one injury every 2.5 hours out of 772 hours of training. The most common injuries in amateur boxing are: muscle strains, shoulder joint injuries, wrist injuries, neck and lumbar spine injuries, and injuries resulting from blows: cuts, hematomas, fractures, and concussion. RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The main goal of this research was to examine the frequency of injuries among male and female boxers participating in the 1st Croatian Boxing. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The respondents who participated in the research were amateur boxers participating in the 1st Croatian Boxing League. The number of respondents is 53. For the purposes of the research, an anonymous online survey was used, which was made exclusively for the purpose of research. This questionnaire provided information about the respondents and their injuries. The questionnaire was conducted online via the Google forms platform, each respondent filled out the survey individually, 3-5 minutes. RESULTS: The results showed that the difference in the frequency of injuries between male and female boxers is not statistically significant. CONCLUSION: Research has shown that injuries among male and female boxers are inevitable, but the severity of the injuries present is not significant.
