Abstract | Uvod : Prema čl. 5.
Abstract (english) | Introduction: According to Art. 5. ZoZZ prescribes that every person has the right to health care and to the possibility of achieving the highest possible level of health (1). Successful access to health care in rural areas is hindered by many difficulties, mainly geographical distance and inaccessibility to health care providers compared to urban areas of the Republic of Croatia (2). The municipality of Brinje is one of the largest municipalities in terms of its area (3), and according to the last population census from 2021, it has only 9 inhabitants per km, which speaks volumes about the sparse population, with the largest number of inhabitants being residents of the third life the middle. age.
Objective: to determine the satisfaction of the elderly population of Brinje Municipality with the availability of health care.
Respondents and materials: the questionnaire was completed by 100 (one hundred) respondents over 60 years of age and of different genders. The questions are aimed at determining the distance to health care institutions, the type of means of transport used by the respondents, and how satisfied they are with the service in the health care institution, that is, with an individual health care service. The data was collected using a questionnaire that was available in two clinics of the DZ branch in Brinje, and in customer service, and contains 9 questions, 4 of which refer to general characteristics, and 5 questions to general or specific satisfaction with a particular service.
Results: The results showed that 100 respondents participated in the survey, of which 55 were men and 45 were women aged 60 to 75 years and older. Through statistical data processing, we conclude that the largest percentage of respondents is between the ages of 70 and 75, and the smallest is between the ages of 60 and 65. Most of the respondents are 10 to 15 km away from health institutions and the largest percentage use their means of transport. Regarding satisfaction with the work of doctors and nurses in the outpatient clinic and the promptness of answering phone calls and coming to home visits, the largest percentage of respondents are generally satisfied, and the smallest percentage are completely dissatisfied.
Conclusion: the research showed that considering the large area of the Municipality and the sparse population, the third good group is mostly satisfied with the availability of health care and the way it is provided. |
