Abstract
Karcinom želuca se nalazi na drugome mjestu svjetske ljestvice uzroka smrti od malignih bolesti i svrstava se u teško izlječive bolesti, ponajprije jer se u većini slučajeva dijagnosticira u završnoj fazi. Kod želučanog karcinoma dokazalo se da veliku etiološku ulogu imaju infektivni agensi. Incidencija karcinoma želuca veća je kod muškaraca nego kod žena i to u starijoj životnoj dobi. Često je potrebno kirurško liječenje koje može uključivati resekciju želuca ili čak potpuno uklanjanje želuca. Osim kirurških zahvata na želucu koji su potrebni radi uklanjanja tumora, kirurški zahvati palijacije se koriste za otklanjanje mogućih komplikacija. U ovom radu biti će prikazano: etiologija, vrste karcinoma, stadiji, simptomi, načini liječenja (kirurško), te noviji načini adjuvantnom i neoadjuvantnom kemoterapijom ili radioterapijom. Zadatak medicinske sestre je procijeniti i pratiti zdravstveno stanje bolesnika, u suradnji s ostalim članovima multidisciplinarnog tima (klinički nutricionist, klinički psiholog, kirurg), te osim standardiziranih postupaka potreban je veliki naglasak i na prehranu bolesnika koja nakon kirurškog zbrinjavanja postaje specifična kako za bolesnika tako i za njegovu obitelj. Edukacija je temelj na kojem se izgrađuje kvaliteta života. Veoma je važno da medicinske sestre prenose svoja znanja i iskustvo na bolesnika i njegovu obitelj. Također je važno bolesnike uključiti u grupe potpore kako bi se istima podigla razina kvalitete života.
Abstract (english)
Gastric cancer is ranked second on the world list of causes of death from malignancies and is classified as nontreatable disease, primarily because it is in most cases diagnosed in the final stages. In gastric cancer, infectious agents have been shown to have a great etiological role. The incidence of gastric cancer is higher in men than in women and elderly. Often, surgical treatment may be required which may include resection of the stomach or even complete removal of the stomach. In addition to gastric surgery which is required to remove a tumor, palliative surgery is used to eliminate possible complications. This paper will present the etiology, types of cancer, stages, symptoms, treatment modalities (surgical), and more recently adjuvant and neoadjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The nursing role is to evaluate and monitor the patient's health, in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team (clinical nutritionist, clinical psychologist), and besides standardized procedures, great emphasis is also required on patient nutrition, which after surgical collection becomes specific to both the patient and the patient. his family. Education is the foundation on which quality of life is built. It is very important for nurses to pass on their knowledge and experience to the patient and his or her family. It is also important to include patients in support groups in order to raise the quality of life.
