New media, such as the Internet and television, are particularly dangerous for development and socialization. They significantly diminish the influence of parents, preschools, schools and other institutions, and increasingly assume their role in the upbringing of children, especially when parental education and institutions fail. Rapid technological development has made it possible for children to access many content that is not appropriate for their age, and it is increasingly difficult for parents to monitor children's activities online. Children are less and less able to socialize and develop the necessary social skills, and they are increasingly living in a virtual world where problems are much easier to solve. In the virtual world, children easily identify with their idols, who have become extremely successful in a short period of time, and who offer many tips on how to get rich quickly, become famous, and generally succeed in life.
