The most common symptom that occurs is bleeding, that can be changeable intensity and duration, depending on the disease. According to the place of bleeding we differentiate vaginal bleeding, intrauterine and intraabdominal. Then there are symptoms of abdominal pain and clonic-tonic cramps. Emergency conditions with bleeding are abruption of placenta, placenta previa, postpartum bleeding and uterine atony. The second most common cause of mother's death is deep vein thrombosis and embolism with amniotic water. Emergency conditions in perinatology often occur without any prior symptoms. It is important to timely set up the diagnosis and to initiate the therapy early. Emergency conditions often cause blood clotting disorders and prevent shock formation. It is necessary to identify all the risk factors that can trigger the development of emergencies. The treatment consists of conservative methods, medication and surgical methods, and their application depends on the condition of the mother and child. Emergencies require the expertise and education of all medical staff in order to prevent further complications. It is necessary to have a permanent supervision of the mother and child, monitor the vital functions and, if necessary, carry out continuous cardiotocography to see the fetal state.
