Abstract
Radna okolina može se objasniti kao društvene značajke i fizički uvjeti u kojima zaposlenici obavljaju svoj posao te može utjecati na produktivnost zaposlenika, odnose na radnom mjestu, suradnju, učinkovitost i zdravlje zaposlenika. Radna okolina medicinskih sestara može se promatrati kroz pet konceptualnih područja: sposobnost medicinske sestre - menadžera u vođenju i podršci medicinskih sestara, kompetentno osoblje i adekvatnost resursa, sudjelovanje medicinske sestre u bolničkim poslovima, sestrinski temelji za kvalitetnu njegu i kolegijalne odnose medicinskih sestara i liječnika. Zadovoljstvo poslom veoma je složen pojam koji uključuje više uzročnih čimbenika povezanih s radnim okruženjem, nadzorom i upravljanjem, ali i osobne čimbenike. Cilj ovoga rada bio je ispitati radnu okolinu medicinskih sestara/tehničara te utjecaj iste na zadovoljstvo poslom. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo ukupno 70 ispitanika, studenata preddiplomskog studija sestrinstva na Fakultetu Zdravstvenih studija u Rijeci. Istraživanje se provelo putem anketnog upitnika, kojim su se prikupljali opći podaci o ispitanicima i Upitnika radne okoline medicinskih sestara/tehničara. Rezultati dokazuju da nekolicina ispitanika smatra kako medicinske sestre/tehničari nisu uključeni u unutarnje upravljanje bolnicom (36%) i nemaju pravo glasa u donošenju političkih odluka ustanove u kojoj rade (57%). Također, nekolicina ispitanika smatra da glavna sestra/tehničar nije pristupačan/na prema osoblju (28%) te da nije dobar upravitelj i vođa. Ispitanici su naveli nedovoljan broj medicinskih sestara/tehničara, prevelik obujam posla i premale plaće kao vodeće probleme u sestrinstvu u Republici Hrvatskoj. Naglašava se potreba da upravitelji bolnica prihvate stavove i mišljenja medicinskih sestara/tehničara, kako bi mogli stvoriti bolje planove i strategije za zadržavanjem medicinskih sestara i prevenciju nezadovoljstva koje posljedično utječe na same pacijente i kvalitetu pružene skrbi.
Abstract (english)
The work environment can be explained as social characteristics and physical conditions in which employees perform their work and can affect employee productivity, workplace relationships, collaboration, efficiency, and employee health. The work environment of nurses can be observed through five conceptual areas: the ability of the nurse - manager in guiding and supporting nurses, competent staff and adequacy of resources, participation of nurses in hospital affairs, nursing foundations for quality care and collegial relations of nurses and doctors. Job satisfaction is a very complex concept that includes several causal factors related to the work environment, supervision and management, but also personal factors. The aim of this study was to examine the work environment of nurses/technicians and its impact on job satisfaction. A total of 70 respondents, nursing students at the Faculty of Health Studies in Rijeka, participated in the research. The research was conducted through a questionnaire, which collected general data on the respondents and the Questionnaire of the working environment of nurses/ technicians. The results show that a few respondents believe that nurses/technicians are not involved in the internal management of the hospital (36%) and do not have the right to vote in making political decisions of the institution in which they work (57%). Also, several respondents believe that the head nurse/technician is not approachable towards the staff (28%) and that she/he is not a good manager. Respondents cited an insufficient number of nurses/ technicians, overwork and low salaries as the leading problems in nursing in Croatia. The need for hospital managers to accept the views and opinions of nurses/technicians is emphasized, so that they can create better plans and strategies for retaining nurses and preventing dissatisfaction that consequently affects patients themselves and the quality of care provided.
