Abstract
U Hrvatskoj kao i u svijetu mnoge pacijentice obolijevaju od tumora dojke. Tumor dojke može biti benigan ili maligan. Obolijevaju pacijentice svih dobnih skupina, važno je otkriti maligni karcinom u što ranijoj fazi. Karcinom dojke je svakim danom u porastu, veliku ulogu zauzimaju prevencija, edukacija pacijentica, dijagnostika i lijecenje. Važnu ulogu na putu ozdravljenja pacijentice oboljele od karcinoma dojke ima holistički pristup zdravstvenog radnika. Holističkim pristupom medicinskih sestara/tehničar upoznaje pacijenticu, njenu obitelj i način na koji funkcionira na fizičkoj, psihološkoj, ekonomskoj i društvenoj razini, što joj uvelike pomaže prevladati poteškoće prilikom liječenja malignog tumora dojke.
Abstract (english)
Many woman are diagnosed with breast cancer in Croatia and throughout the every year. Women can be in every age group when they are diagnosed. Early diagnosis of malignant breast cancer is of most importance. Breast cancer can be benign or malignant. Number of diagnosed women increase, so education, prevention and early diagnosis have a great role in succsessful treatment of malignant breast cancer. Holistic approach in nursing care is also very important part in healing from breast cancer. It means that nurses treat women individually as a hole being. Through holistic approach nurse learns about the woman, her family and the way she functions on physical, psychological, emotional, social and economical level which helps to determine the best way for dealing with difficulties that arise in breast cancer treatment.
