Abstract
Cilj istraživanja: Ispitati osobe kojima je dijagnosticirana skolioza i uvidjeti njihove stavove i znanja o skoliozi općenito, njihovom liječenju i odnosu prema istome. Ispitanici i metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 120 ispitanika. Ispitanici su bili odrasle osobe sa dijagnozom skolioze i roditelji djece kojima je dijagnosticirana skolioza. Ispitanici su ispunjavali upitnik vezana za općenito znanje o skoliozi, njihovom tijeku liječenja skolioze i stavovima o istom. Tokom upitnika ispitanici su raspoređeni u skupine po dobi i težini skolioze ovisno o stupnju krivine. Rezultati: Obrađeni su podaci 120 ispitanika sa dijagnozom skolioze. Osobe sa blažim oblikom skolioze se ne razlikuju u znanju s obzirom na srednju i tešku skupinu skolioze, rezultati su dali vrijednost p=0,53. Osobe koje su u rasponu godina od 10-15 ne pokazuju statistički značajnu razliku (p=0,57) u nošenju ortoze u odnosu na ostale. Statistički značajne razlike (p=0,62) nema među skupinama kada je u pitanju odabir druge metode u liječenju skolioze. Prema dobivenoj vrijednosti p=0,32 ocjena cjelokupnog puta liječenja ne pokazuje statistički značajne razlike kada se gleda težina skupine u kojoj pripadaju. Zaključak: Sveukupno općenito znanje ispitanika o skoliozi je na 50%. Nepropisno skoliozu nosi 55,55% ispitanika te navodi da najveći problem pri nošenju ortoze stvaraju nelagoda pred ljudima i vanjski izgled. 35,83% ispitanika u liječenju skolioze odlučilo se i za drugu metodu liječenja. Srednja ocjena ispitanika o cjelokupnom putu liječenja skolioze iznosi 2,9. Rezultati ovog istraživanja daju zaključak da se znanje i stavovi osoba sa skoliozom ne razlikuju s obzirom na dob ili skupini skolioze po stupnju krivine.
Abstract (english)
Aim of the research: To examine people who have been diagnosed with scoliosis and to see their attitudes and knowledge about scoliosis in general, their treatment and attitudes towards it. Research participants and methods: 120 research participants were included in the study. The research participants were adults diagnosed with scoliosis and parents of children diagnosed with scoliosis. The research participants completed a questionnaire related to general knowledge about scoliosis, their course of treatment of scoliosis and attitude about the same. During the questionnaire, the research participants were divided into groups by age and severity of scoliosis depending on the degree of curvature. Results: Data from 120 research participants diagnosed with scoliosis were processed. People with a milder form of scoliosis do not differ in knowledge regarding the medium and severe group of scoliosis. The results gave a value of p = 0.53. People in the age range of 10-15 do not show a statistically significant difference (p = 0.57) in wearing an orthosis compared to others. There is no statistically significant difference (p = 0.62) between the groups when it comes to choosing another method in the treatment of scoliosis. According to the obtained value p = 0.32, the assessment of the entire course of treatment does not show a statistically significant difference when taking into account the severity factor of the group they belong to. Conclusion: The overall general knowledge of the research participants about scoliosis is at 50%. 55.55% of research participants wear orthosis improperly and state that the biggest problem when wearing an orthosis is created by discomfort in front of people and external appearance. 35.83% of research participants in the treatment of scoliosis opted for another treatment method. The average score of the research participants on the overall treatment of scoliosis is 2.9. The results of this study conclude that the knowledge and attitudes of people with scoliosis do not differ with respect to age or the group of scoliosis to which they belong according to the degree of curvature.
