Abstract
Uvod: COVID-19 (engl. coronavirus disease 2019 ) je virusna zarazna bolest koju uzrokuje SARS-CoV-2 virus (engl. severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus). Prvi slučajevi ove bolesti zabilježeni su krajem 2019. godine u kineskom gradu Wuhanu. Nakon prvih detektiranih slučajeva u Kini, virus se vrlo brzo proširio cijelim svijetom. Tijekom prvog vala širenja SARS Cov 2 virusa, u proljeće 2020. godine, došlo je do porasta broja oboljelih od COVID-a 19 i do dodatnog opterećenja bolničkih sustava. Svaki bolesnik koji zatraži medicinsku pomoć u OHBPu prolazi proces procjene prioriteta liječenja, odnosno trijaže, kojim se određuje kategorija hitnosti i okvirno vrijeme zbrinjavanja. Za postupak trijaže su zadužene posebno educirane medicinske sestre /tehničari zaposleni u OHBP-u Cilj: Cilj istraživanja je ispitati udio COVID 19 bolesnika u ukupnom broju zaprimljenih bolesnika, utvrditi pripadajuću trijažnu kategoriju i daljnji tijek liječenja COVID 19 bolesnika u Objedinjenom hitnom bolničkom prijemu Opće bolnice Gospić u razdoblju od 1. 01. 2021. do 31.12. 2021. godine. Metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo ukupno 2405 COVID 19 bolesnika koji su obrađeni u Objedinjenom hitnom bolničkom prijemu Opće bolnice Gospić u razdoblju od 1.01.2021. do 31.12.2021. Podaci o bolesnicima su uzeti retrospektivnom analizom medicinske dokumentacije Rezultati: Udio bolesnika sa COVID-om 19 bilo je 15,46%, Najveći broj zaprimljenih bolesnika je bio u travnju19.0% i studenom 17.2%, prvoj trijažnoj kategoriji je pripadalo 0.3%, a drugoj trijažnoj kategoriji 2.6% bolesnika. 1. i 2. trijažnoj kategoriji češće su pripadali muškarci i stariji od 75 godina, 74,8% bolesnika u bilo je bez kroničnih bolesti, 55,2% bolesnici u dobi od 66 do 75 godina ima dvije kronične bolesti, 37,8%. bolesnika je zadržano na bolničkom liječenju i bilo je starije od 75 godina Zaključak: Tijekom pandemije COVID-19 svim bolesnicima u hitnom bolničkom prijemu je potrebno pružiti jednake uvijete skrbi vodeći računa o poštivanju epidemioloških mjera kako ne bi došlo do širenja virusa na ostale pacijente i zdravstveno osoblje
Abstract (english)
Introduction: COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) is a viral infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus). The first cases of this disease were recorded at the end of 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan. After the first detected cases in China, the virus spread very quickly throughout the world. During the first wave of the spread of the SARS Cov 2 virus, in the spring of 2020, there was an increase in the number of patients with COVID-19 and an added burden on hospital systems. Any patient who requests medical assistance in the OHBP goes through the process of assessing the priority of treatment, triage, which determines the category of urgency and the approximate time of care. Objective: The objective of the research is to examine the share of COVID 19 patients in the total number of admitted patients, to determine the corresponding triage category and the further course of treatment of COVID 19 patients in the Unified Emergency Hospital Admission of the Gospić General Hospital in the period from 01/01/2021 to 12/31/2021. Methods: A total of 2,405 COVID 19 patients who were treated in the Unified Emergency Department of the Gospić General Hospital in the period from January 1, 2021. until 31.12.2021. Data on patients were collected through a retrospective analysis of medical records Results: The share of patients with COVID-19 was 15.46%, the largest number of admitted patients was in April 19.0% and November 17.2%, the first triage category was 0.3%, and the second triage category was 2.6% of patients. The 1st and 2nd triage categories more often belonged to men and older than 75 years, 74.8% of patients were without chronic diseases, 55.2% of patients aged 66 to 75 years had two chronic diseases, 37.8% the patient was kept on hospital treatment and was older than 75 years Conclusion: During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary to provide equal conditions of care to all patients in emergency hospital admission, taking care to observe epidemiological measures in order to prevent the spread of the virus to other patients and health personnel
