Abstract
Specifičnosti tretmana i pristupa kod bolesnika s postavljenom torakalnom drenažom različiti su te je potrebno iskustvo, specifična znanja i spretnost medicinske sestre koja se brine za takve bolesnike. U ovom radu opisuju se anatomija i fiziologija dišnog sustava, ozljede i bolesti organa torakalne šupljine kod kojih je metoda liječenja postavljenje torakalne drenaže. Nadalje, opisuju se zadaće medicinske sestre kao dijela medicinskog tima i posebna zdravstvena skrb koja je potrebna tijekom liječenja bolesnika s torakalnom drenažom. Uloga medicinske sestre je važna u oporavku bolesnika, a sastoji se od postavljanja sestrinskih dijagnoza i rješavanja istih intervencijama kojima će se poboljšati samostalnost bolesnika, a sve temeljeno na principima procesa zdravstvene njege.
Abstract (english)
The specificity of treatment and approach in patients with thoracic drainage requires the experience, specific knowledge and abilities of a nurse who take care of such patients. This paper describes the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system, the injuries and diseases of the chest organs in which the method of treating is the thoracic drainage. Furthermore, the tasks of a nurse, as she is a part of a medical team, is the special care during the treatment of thoracic patients. The role of a nurse is important in the recovery of patients, and it is consisted of setting up nursing diagnosis and solving the same with interventions that will improve the patient's independence, all based on the principles of the nursing process.
