Abstract
Cilj ove studije je usmjeren na usporedbu znanja i stavova o ljekovitim svojstvima kurkume kod studenata integriranog preddiplomskog i diplomskog sveučilišnog studija Medicina te diplomskog sveučilišnog studija Sanitarno inženjerstvo. Istraživanje jeAprovedenoAna neprobabilističkom Sprigodnom Wuzorku Wstudenata završnih godina navedenih studija na Medicinskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Rijeci pomoću upitnika sastavljenog od 34 pitanja o znanju i stavovima o kurkumi. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 44 studenta Medicine i 76 studenata Sanitarnog inženjerstva. Rezultati provedenog Mann-Whitneyev U testa ukazuju na to da studenti diplomskog sveučilišnog studija Sanitarno inženjerstvo imaju statistički značajno veće znanje o kurkumi nego studenti integriranog preddiplomskog i diplomskog sveučilišnog studija Medicina (p < 0.01). Spearmanovim koeficijentom pronađena je snažna statistički značajna povezanost stava prema kurkumi i znanja o kurkumi. Uz porast pozitivnosti stava o kurkumi pojavljuje se i porast upućenosti o kurkumi. Zaključak rada jest da rezultati ukazuju na važnost edukacije na akademskoj razini o ljekovitim i nutricionističkim svojstvima pojedinih biljnih vrsta zbog važnosti promicanja zdravlja o prehrani te očuvanja zdravlja društva.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study is to compare the knowledge and attitudes about the curative properties of curcuma in students of the integrated undergraduate and graduate university study of Medicine and the graduate university study of Sanitary engineering. The research was conducted on a non-probabilistic sample of students of the final years of the above mentioned studies at the Medicine Faculty of the University of Rijeka with a questionnaire composed of 34 questions about curcumin knowledge and attitudes. The study included 44 students of Medicine and 76 students of Sanitary Engineering. Results.of the Mann-Whitney test shows that students of graduate university study in Sanitary Engineering have statistically significantly higher knowledge of curcumin than students of undergraduate and graduate university study in Medicine (p <0.01). Spearman's coefficient found a strong statistically significant correlation between attitudesand knowledge about curcuma. With the rise in positivity of the curcuma, there is an increase in the tendency of curcuma. The results point to the importance of education at the academic level on the healing and nutritional properties of common plant species due to the importance of promoting dietary health and preserving the health of society.
