Osteoporosis is a systemic disease of the skeletal system, characterized by reduced bone density and microarchitectural deterioration of bone tissue with consequent association of brittle bones and sensitivity to fractions. Osteoporosis is the most common disease that affects the skeletal system and is becoming a growing problem today. It occurs due to many factors, due to the aging process, disease and the use of drugs that accelerate the bone process. We distinguish two main types of osteoporosis, primary and secondary osteoporosis. It is becoming a major public health problem in the world due to the fact that they have declared that over 200 million people worldwide are osteoporotic. For the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, the key elements are proper nutrition, education, physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. The aim of the study was to investigate and show the incidence of comorbidities in women with osteoporosis. The study involved 25 women diagnosed with osteoporosis, with an average age of 67.52 years. The survey was conducted through an online survey in May and June 2020. The survey was used to collect data on the incidence of comorbidities in women with osteoporosis. The results indicate that most women have comorbidity in addition to osteoporosis.
