According to the World Health Organization, part of the quality of life is the perception of one's own body in relation to the culture and value system of each individual. Limb amputation affects quality of life through multiple multidimensional aspects: mental, physical, social, family, housing, feelings of security. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between psychosocial adjustment, body perception and social interaction in relation to the age of participants, to examine whether there is a difference in coping strategies in participants with lower limb amputation in relation to gender and to examine the impact of communication within the family participants with lower limb amputation.. Results: 100 participants participated in the research. Participants of younger age with amputation do not have a negative perception of their own body, nor a reduced social interaction. Women with lower limb amputation are more likely to use Coping with Avoidance, as opposed to men who use the strategy of Loneliness and Suppression of Emotions. Conclusion: Younger participants do not have a negative perception of their own body and do not have a negative social interaction. Participants have a positive relationship with the family, ie the factor of family communication and problem-solving ability in participants with lower limb amputation is positive.
