Cerebral palsy, as the most common motor disability in childhood, is determined by a disorder of movement and body posture caused by brain damage. Physiotherapists are particularly distinguished by their approach in early intervention, where ignorance and discomfort at work are easily noticeable and closely related to the lack of experience and education acquired during studies. Due to the increasing frequency of CP in children, it is important to adequately educate and prepare physiotherapy students to work with people with cerebral palsy, as the results of treatment depend on this. The main goal of this research was to examine the knowledge of physiotherapy students about cerebral palsy and their discomfort in working with people with cerebral palsy. The respondents of the research were students of the regular undergraduate professional study of Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Health Studies in Rijeka, of whom a total of 60 participated. The research was conducted online using an anonymous questionnaire via the Google Forms platform, the link of which was delivered to all respondents via social networks. The questionnaire was used to obtain information about the level of knowledge and discomfort of respondents in working with people with cerebral palsy. The results showed relatively high knowledge about cerebral palsy with a total of 77.78% correctly answered answers and 22.22% incorrectly answered answers. Thus, the research showed a fairly high level of knowledge of students about cerebral palsy and a low level of discomfort in working with people with cerebral palsy. The only significant difference was in the knowledge of older versus younger students, which gives an additional incentive to the timely education of all students studying Physiotherapy.
