Introduction: Stress is any internal or external stimulus that causes some form of biological reaction and occurs when this stimulus overwhelms an individual's ability to adapt. Confronting a stressor activates the central nervous system, which consequently activates the sympathetic nervous system while reducing the activity of the parasympathetic nervous system. The aim of this study was to determine changes in physiological parameters (heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose) in students during stress, specifically during an oral exam. Subjects and Methods: Data on heart rate, blood pressure, and blood glucose were collected using a "Smart bracelet" device, which the subjects wore while at rest and during the oral exam. The study was conducted among undergraduate physiotherapy students at the Faculty of Health Studies in Rijeka. Results: The results obtained from this study indicate a statistically significant increase in the examined parameters during the oral exam compared to the values at rest, suggesting a significant physical stress reaction of the students to the oral exam. Conclusion: Studying and monitoring physiological parameters in students during stressful situations, such as oral exams, contributes to a better understanding of students' reactions to stress. With this knowledge, it is possible to develop intervention strategies and therapeutic methods to maintain health and prevent diseases.
