A normal course of birth is presented in this paper. It also describes possible complications witch may occur during pregnancy and childbirth, the tasks of midwife, as well as nursing care which is provided to a newborn after delivery and the births that occur outside of a health care facility. In this research a questionnaire is conducted between the students of the Bridging Program about the Out-of-Health Care Facility. Childbirth means ending the pregnancy after 28 weeks. According to WHO normal pregnancy lasts from 37 to 42 weeks. Delivery that occurs before the 37th week is premature birth and the one that occurs after the 42nd week is considered as prolonged pregnancy. Normal birth refers to physiological events that end up with the birth of a child, placenta and fertile sachets. Birth outside of a health care facility can happened anytime, anywhere. The most important task of the midwife is to help new mother after delivery and her newborn child with her professional approach, education and experience. In this way, the conditions for normal development of a child born in the term, but also beyond the terms, are ensured.
