Magnetic Resonance (MR) is a radiological non-invasive imaging method that allows multiplanar view of the body. MR angiography is part of the examinations carried out by a magnetic resonance device to give a demonstration of blood vessels in the body. Methods to achieve this can be with or without contrast agent. Methods without contrast agents include Black Blood angiography, Time of Flight angiography, and Phase-Contrast angiography. The technique of "Time of Flight MRA" (TOF MRA) is a completely non-invasive blood vessel technique without the use of a contrast agent. In this method, the hyperintensive (light) signal in the blood vessels is obtained on the basis of passing non-saturated protons (spins) into the flowing blood through tissues with saturated protons. Black Blood angiography uses spin echo sequences and pre-sturated spins and thus the blood vessels appear dark. PC-MRA uses velocity differences, and by the phase shifts of mobile spins, and thus creates contrast in the vessels. Post contrast or Contrast enhanced magnetic resonance angiography – CEMRA is a method of visualizing blood vessels by using gadolinium based contrast agent. Clinical application of MR angiography is in the presentation of intracranial blood vessels and carotid arteries, aorta, pulmonary and renal arteries, arteries of the ectremities and their branches. A study of 257 patients which underwent MR angiography has been conducted in the period from 01.01.2017 to 01.01.2018 in the Clinical Hospital Centre Rijeka on MR Siemens Avanto,and hypothesis were statistically tested .
