Low back pain is one of the most common diseases of the modern age. More than 80% of humanity has experienced low back pain at least once in their lifetime. The causes are often insufficient physical activity or otherwise hard physical work but the problem of LBP becomes much more complex when we add the psychological aspects of pain. Often is pain an expression of mental suffering and it is also observed as a symptom of endogenous depression. Treating of LBP is not simple. It requires a lot of knowledge and experience from different branches of medicine. Numerous studies have shown increased activity of the immune response in people suffering from LBP. The immunological aspects of pain are very complex and require full commitment. It is important that nurses have the stated knowledge, skills and experience in working with patients suffering from LBP and that she transmits the same through education in order to raise awareness about LBP because although it is one of the main public health problems, it is still not given enough attention. In the research conducted as part of this final work, we find out the general prevalence of LBS. We will find out if nurses suffer more from LBP than people working in other industries. The emphasis of the research was placed on the satisfaction of respondents with the awareness of LBP and the influence of stress on it. I hope that in the future more nurses and other health professionals will be interested in this topic and thus contribute with their knowledge to a better quality of life for people suffering from LBP.
