The paper shows the impact and importance of exercise in patients with cerebral palsy (CP). Recommendations for physical activity and exercise are presented, which are specially adapted for people with cerebral palsy. The recommendations are based on a comprehensive review and analysis of the literature, expert opinion and clinical experience, and a case study with concrete results. The emphasis is on the importance of rehabilitation exercise prescribed by medical professionals, given that unprofessional/inadequate therapy can lead to deterioration of the patient's health and negatively affect the course of the disease. People with CP live in an environment where physical activity mainly occurs through formal physical therapies and organized sports events for people with disabilities. Unfortunately, there is still insufficient discussion of a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity and a reduction in sedentary behavior. Awareness of these problems has increased over the last few years, which will ultimately lead to developments at the patient / healthcare provider level. The paper also presents a specific case of a person suffering from cerebral palsy, the types of exercises he performs regularly with the aim of improving his own motor functions and maintaining a positive health condition. In addition to the description and presentation of the exercises, the monitoring of progress in the period of 5 months of consecutive performance of the presented exercises is also shown.
