Problems of treatment of chronic wounds reaches in the ancient past. Along with the development of the medicine through the history, there was a change of approuch to the treatment of patients with chronic wounds. In the past, researches were mostly focused to the understanding of the nature of the diseases and the development of medical interventions with a goal to treat and suppress the disease. The goal of the latest researches is also the influence of chronic wounds on the quality of life of a patient and his family. When a patient develops a chronic wound, this affects the patient, his family, and the health system. With the problem of chronic wounds, nurses / technicians meet in everyday work at the hospital and outside. The purpose of this research was to determine whether there are differences in knowledge and attitudes between the student of fourth grade of the medical school and the nursing students. The research was conducted in June 2018 at the Medical School in Zadar and via the Internet. The respondents completed an anonymous survey of 35 questions; students of medical school in paper form and nursing students online. Research has shown that there are differences in knowledge about chronic wounds, so that the students of medical school demonstrated a higher level of knowledge from which it can be concluded that a higher level of education necessarily does not mean a higher level of knowledge about chronic wounds. There were no differences in attitudes about chronic wounds between students of medical school and nursing students.
