Shoulder dystocia(SD) is an emergency and as such requires a lot of knowledge, skills and good communication between team members to respond as soon as possible with the least negative consequences for both, a mother and a child. Work in the delivery room is challenge and call and requires for readiness of each and every team member. Especially in emergency situations. Often in the recall of SD there are involved emotions such as fear, shock, and panic. The question is, whether such reactions are reflected in the feelings of insufficient knowledge, unwillingness, lack of training, and thus lack of confidence. This work will talk about the risk factors and if it may be possible to predict occurance of SD based on these risk factors. It will also describe and compare which complications may arise, which are the ways of recognition, care, documentation, preparation and training in Croatia and other countries of the world, and if there is training, is there any progress in the team work and outcomes of delivery with shoulder dystocia.
