Introduction The fall of the patient is considered in a group of unwanted events. Number of falls reflects the safety of the patient and represents the most reliable measure of the quality of work in nursing. The aim The aim of this study was to investgate the wievs of the fall respondents on adverse events during the process of nursing care in the General Hospital Sisak. Respondents and methods Respondents are nurses- tehnicians employed in the General Hospital of Sisak at the Departmen of Internal Diseases and Department of the Surgical Services and Department for Neurology. The study was conducted on a sample of 100 nurses during October 2018. As a measuring istrument the questionnaire "Patient Safety as Quality Standard in Health Care". Results Research has shown that nurses / technicians in the department work more than the scheduled time, which is confirmed by 88% of respondents. 69% of nurses / technicians feel that errors reflect them, 65% of respondents feel they are logged in, not a problem. Nurses / technicians are active in improving patient safety (70% of patients). 25% of respondents claim to have sacrificed the patient's safety to perform more work at the department. Only 40% of respondents rated the safety of hospital patients acceptable. 45% of respondents state that they always report an unwanted event. Conclusion: The reaserch has show that in General Hospital Sisak the conditions at the workplace influence at nursing care, the quality of he work itself,which resaults in unwanted events.The lack of nurses/technicans is a potential problem.
