Transgender is a term that is still poorly undesrtood and it still unexplored in Croatia. For most people, the feeling of gender and sex seems self-explanatory. There is little talk about sexuality and transgenderism in our society, and no literature searches have found papers that would address the sexuality of transgender people in Croatia. The aim of this research was to determine the frequency of sexual problems of transgender persons in the selected sample. Part of the transgender people involved in the research are in the process of transition, while a part of them still hasn't started the transition, according to which the hypotheses of this research have been put forward and what is considered to be the aim of this study. HYPOTHESES: Hypothesis 1: There is no difference in sexual difficulties between tanswomen and transmen. Hypothesis 2: Transgender people who did not start the transition have the same frequency of sexual problems as transgender people who have allready started the transition The study involved 75 transgender individuals, and used questionnaires to examine sexual functioning. Two questionnaires, the Erectile Function Index and the Sexual Function Index in Women, were used. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between sexual dysfunctions in transmen and transwomen. The results show that transwomen have more sexual problems. Transwomen have worse sexual functioning in general, but also at all stages of sexual response: desire, arousal and orgasm. The results also show that there are no statistically significant differences between transgender people who started the transition compared to those who did not.
